We believe financial circumstances should not prevent children and students from accessing education.
AGW Foundation provides food and essential supplies to people and families.
We provide clothing and everyday necessities to people who need them.
AGW Foundation helps children, students and families who are going through hard times, especially when money is tight.
We focus on the basics. We help students pay for school when their families can’t, provide food and clothing to people who need them, and support children’s homes with the supplies they need to look after the children in their care.
Some of this is about getting someone through today: a meal, a school uniform, a bag of essentials. But we also want to give people a real chance at a better tomorrow, and education is a big part of that.
Everything we do comes from our faith and a simple belief that every person deserves to be treated with care and dignity.
AGW Foundation provides essential support, including education assistance, food, clothing and everyday necessities, to children, students, families and individuals facing financial hardship. We also work directly with children’s homes and vulnerable communities to meet practical needs, helping restore stability, dignity and opportunity.
Guided by faith and compassion, we serve the people in front of us and work to strengthen the communities we’re part of.
AGW Foundation focuses on practical support.
It starts with listening. We spend time with families, children’s homes and individuals to learn what they’re facing, then focus on the help that will make the biggest difference.
We sit down with the family, student or children's home and hear what's going on.
Together, we work out what would help most right now.
School fees, food, clothing or supplies, delivered where they're needed.
We check in afterwards to see how things are going.
Steady help keeps children in school and families on their feet.
Sometimes it’s the small things that change someone’s day: a warm blanket, a decent pair of shoes, sanitary pads, a school bag that isn’t falling apart. We give families and individuals the everyday essentials they need, so they can get on with life with a bit more comfort and dignity.
No child or student should have to drop out or fall behind because their family can’t afford it. In Kenya, primary school is meant to be free, but the real costs add up fast: boarding fees, uniforms, books, exam fees and transport. Every new term, many parents are left wondering how they’ll keep their children in school. We help close that gap, so students can stay in class and keep working toward the future they want.
A big part of our work is supporting children’s homes and the children they look after. We don’t just drop off donations and leave. We get to know each home, visit regularly and talk with the people running it, so we know what they’re short on and what would help them keep going. When something urgent comes up, they know they can call us.
Your support lets AGW Foundation respond to real, immediate needs in our communities. Whether it’s helping a student cover school fees, putting food on a family’s table, providing clothing and everyday essentials, or helping a children’s home cover rent and other costs, your contribution makes a direct difference in someone’s life.
Keeping children in class and learning
School fees, exam and registration fees, uniforms, textbooks and stationery, vocational training fees, and small bursaries that help children stay in school.
A child who misses school because of an unpaid fee or a missing uniform can quickly fall behind, and some never go back. Covering these gaps keeps them in class.
Food on the table for families going through hard times
Emergency food parcels, monthly staples like flour, rice and beans, extra meals for schoolchildren, and food vouchers families can use at local shops.
When there's food at home, families don't have to make impossible choices, like keeping a child home from school to work. Vouchers spent at local shops also help the small businesses in the community.
Everyday essentials for comfort and dignity
School clothes and shoes, raincoats and blankets, hygiene kits (soap, toothbrushes, sanitary pads), baby kits (nappies, blankets, basic toiletries), and household items like cooking pots and bedding.
These are small things, but they keep children healthy, help them feel confident at school, and take some of the pressure off parents and caregivers. A simple package can go a long way.
Safe, stable care for the children who live there
The day-to-day costs of running registered children's homes, including food, rent, electricity and water, caregiver allowances, school costs for the children, small repairs and hygiene supplies.
Most children's homes run on very tight budgets. Steady support means the children stay safe, fed and in school, while the home works on longer-term plans, such as reuniting children with family where that's possible.
Every amount helps. We'll make sure your gift gets where it's needed.
We know we can’t do this alone, and we don’t want to. We’re always open to working with others who care about the same things we do.
